Jericho Rosales is set to portray former Philippine President Manuel L. Quezon in the upcoming historical biopic Quezon, produced by TBA Studios. The announcement was made on Tuesday, confirming Rosales as the lead in the much-anticipated film.
The movie will explore Quezon’s life beyond his political heroism, showcasing his intellect, charm, and cunning nature. “Quezon is such an interesting character to play,” Rosales shared. “I am very excited.”
Joining the cast are Mon Confiado, reprising his role as Emilio Aguinaldo, and Benjamin Alves as a younger Quezon. Other notable stars include Karylle Yuzon as Aurora Quezon, Romnick Sarmenta as Sergio Osmeña, JC Santos as Manuel Roxas, and Cris Villanueva as Joven Hernando.
Quezon is the third installment in TBA Studios’ Bayaniverse film series, following Heneral Luna and Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral. The movie is set for release later this year.
