Harvard Model United Nations Hosts Inaugural Golf Tournament in the Philippines

Lipa, Batangas, March 5, 2025 – The prestigious Harvard Model United Nations
(HWMUN) is set to make history with its first-ever golf tournament in the Philippines,
bringing together diplomats, professionals, and business leaders for a day of
competition and camaraderie. The highly anticipated event will take place at the Summit
Point Golf and Country Club in Lipa, Batangas.


Spearheading this groundbreaking initiative is HWMUN President Tyler Javier,
alongside Advisory Board members Andria Terese Nicolas, Stephanie Tagle, Eric
Mariano, and Vitto Neri. With a mission to promote global diplomacy and leadership
beyond the conference halls, the tournament aims to foster meaningful connections
among participants while celebrating the spirit of international collaboration.


The event is co-presented by Rising Tigers Magazine and Zoomanity Group, with

Harvard World Model United Nations is recognized as the largest and most prestigious
UN simulation conference in the world, drawing more than 1,500 delegates from over

host university, the conference moves to a different global city annually.

In an impressive feat, the Manila Bidding Team successfully secured the hosting rights for the
33rd session of HWMUN in 2025, reinforcing the Philippines’ position as a hub for
international diplomacy and leadership.


This inaugural HWMUN Golf Tournament not only marks a milestone for the
organization but also serves as a prelude to the upcoming Harvard World Model United
Nations 2025 in Manila. As participants take to the greens, they will engage in
meaningful conversations, expand their networks, and support the mission of fostering
global dialogue.
