Luis Manzano revealed that he has lost four brand endorsements since announcing his candidacy for Batangas vice governor, significantly impacting his income.
Speaking at the Barako Fest 2025 opening in Lipa City, Manzano admitted that while he understands why brands chose not to renew contracts, the financial hit has been challenging.
“May lungkot, kasi una, realistically, [natamaan] ‘yung financial,” he said, adding that his wife, Jessy Mendiola, is now stepping up by returning to work to support their family.
Mendiola humorously recalled how she once told Manzano that she would break up with him if he ran for office, but now fully supports his political journey.
Manzano’s mother, Vilma Santos-Recto, and brother, Ryan Recto, who are also running for public office, were present at the event.
The Barako Fest, an annual Batangas cultural festival, runs from February 13 to 15, showcasing local traditions and products.
