Aubrey Miles has spoken up in defense of the Netflix drama series Incognito amid online allegations that the show relied heavily on green screen effects.
The actress and reality TV star, who is an avid fan of the Daniel Padilla and Richard Gutierrez-led series, took to Instagram to shut down critics and praise the homegrown production for its quality.
“Tigilan nyo na nga yung kaka-green screen nyo sa Incognito! Bigyan nyo naman ng credit ang production ng Pinoy. Kaya naman pag gugustuhin. I’ve been following the show and walang halong kalokohan sila. Galing from production, wardrobe, and artists. Winner!! Maging proud naman tayo!”
(“Stop accusing Incognito of using green screens! Give credit to Filipino productions. If we want something to be done well, we can achieve it. I’ve been following the show, and they’re authentic—great production, wardrobe, and artists. Winner! Let’s be proud!”)
Why the Green Screen Controversy?
The backlash started after a scene featuring Jane de Leon went viral on X (formerly Twitter), with netizens speculating that the production heavily relied on CGI and green screens.
Miles’ remarks also came shortly after GMA Network’s Widow’s War faced criticism for its noticeable use of green-screen effects in a pivotal scene.
