Manny Pacquiao is set to represent the Philippines in the upcoming season of Netflix’s hit survival reality competition, Physical: Asia.
The streaming giant announced Pacquiao’s participation on Tuesday, sharing photos of the boxing legend and his wife, Jinkee Pacquiao, at the airport ahead of the show’s filming.
The new season is an evolution of the popular South Korean series Physical: 100, transforming into a high-stakes team competition where elite athletes from various countries will battle it out. Netflix described the show as a “full-blown national showdown where pride, survival, and teamwork collide.”
Physical: 100, which has two seasons to date, previously secured a spot on Netflix’s Global Top 10 (Non-English) list. The original show featured 100 competitors vying to outlast one another in a grueling individual tournament.
Pacquiao’s inclusion in Physical: Asia adds a new layer of excitement to the series, as fans anticipate how the boxing icon’s skills will translate in this intense, physically demanding competition.
