The veteran singer-actress laughed off the situation and even apologized to the young actor once she realized the oversight.
The exchange began on January 16, when Padilla tweeted about finishing the ABS-CBN series “Lavender Fields”, asking her followers for recommendations on what to watch next. Fans quickly chimed in with suggestions, and among them was Tanfelix, who tweeted:
“Hello Ms. Zsa Zsa! Try nyo po silipin yung Mga Batang Riles hehe salamat po.”
However, Padilla didn’t respond to his tweet right away. Coincidentally, she later shared that she had started watching another ABS-CBN series, “Incognito,” which happens to air around the same time as “Mga Batang Riles.”
Zsa Zsa’s Apology and Netizens’ Reactions
A few days later, on January 29, Padilla noticed Tanfelix’s message and promptly apologized:
“Thanks for the reco! Will watch it next! My apologies, did not see your message earlier,” she tweeted.
Meanwhile, netizens were quick to poke fun at the unintended snub. One meme circulating online humorously edited a scene from one of Padilla’s shows, where she looks at a TV and says, “Hindi ako interesado sa mga bagay na ‘yan.” The TV screen in the meme was humorously overlaid with a scene from “Mga Batang Riles.”
Padilla took the joke in stride, replying: “Hahaha! Kaloka kayo!”
