Jamela Villanueva Not Ready to Love Again After Split with Anthony Jennings

Months after her controversial split with actor Anthony Jennings, Jamela Villanueva has opened up about her healing journey, revealing that she’s not ready to fall in love again anytime soon. The actress and influencer emphasized her focus on self-growth and personal healing during a recent event in Quezon City, where she was introduced as the celebrity ambassador for a dental clinic.

“Definitely hindi pa po. Focus lang muna ako sa sarili ko (Definitely not. I want to focus on myself for now),” Villanueva shared when asked if she was open to entering a new relationship.

Navigating Forgiveness and Therapy
Villanueva also spoke candidly about the cheating controversy involving Jennings and Maris Racal, admitting that while she’s working towards forgiveness, it remains a process.

“Process pa rin. Ang forgiveness ay hindi super daling process but I’m getting there (It’s still a process. Forgiveness is not an easy process, but I’m getting there),” she said, adding that she has been undergoing therapy for a few months to cope with the emotional toll.

Villanueva also revealed that she felt pushed beyond her limits, which led her to expose conversations between Jennings and Racal. “Napush lang din talaga ako. Ang dami nangyari where I don’t have anyone to defend me. Ang hirap din kasi when you’re judged by people kahit wala sila sa posisyon mo (I was really pushed beyond my limit. A lot happened where I had no one to defend me. It’s hard when you’re judged by people who aren’t in your position),” she explained.

The Importance of Closure and Moving On
While she has come a long way in her healing, Villanueva admitted that a simple “sorry” would still mean a lot to her. “Nakakatanggal ng tinik sa puso kapag nakakarinig ka ng sorry (It removes the sting in your heart whenever you hear a sorry),” she said.

She also reflected on the broader concept of moving on, emphasizing that it’s not about forgetting the past but about learning how to help yourself heal. “Moving on is not just about forgetting the past. It’s about kung paano mo tutulungan ang sarili mo after ng lahat ng nangyari sa’yo (It’s about how you help yourself move forward after everything that happened to you),” she added.

Personal Struggles and Self-Worth
Villanueva, who lives with her brother Jhamil after the loss of both their parents to cancer, also shared her struggles with a heart condition she’s had since she was six months old. Despite these challenges, she remains committed to self-empowerment.

“Ang self-worth ko ay non-negotiable. Never lose yourself in the process kung ano ang nangyari sa buhay mo. Dapat alam mo ‘yung values and principles mo (My self-worth is non-negotiable. Never lose yourself in the process, no matter what happens in your life. You must know your values and principles),” Villanueva said during the event.

As she continues to focus on her healing journey, Villanueva remains an inspiration to many, showing that self-love and resilience are key to overcoming life’s hurdles.
