Regine Velasquez, known as Asia’s Songbird, expressed her disappointment after learning that Stell of SB19 would no longer be able to join her upcoming concert, R E S E T, on February 21, 2025.
Velasquez shared the announcement from concert producer iMusic Entertainment Inc. (iMEI) on her Instagram page, adding a lighthearted caption, “Well, I’m a little disappointed but……. see you guys 😊.”
Miscommunication Leads to Scheduling Conflict
According to iMEI, Stell’s withdrawal was due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict stemming from a miscommunication involving the production team.
“We regret to inform you that Stell… will not be able to attend due to a scheduling conflict,” the statement read. “This unforeseen issue arose from a miscommunication by our production manager.”
The company admitted they were unaware of the scheduling issue during the press conference held on January 14, where Stell’s guesting was officially announced. It was only later that all parties resolved the misunderstanding.
Apologies and Refunds Offered
iMEI acknowledged fans’ disappointment and issued an apology for the unexpected change, offering ticket refunds to those who specifically purchased within January 14-15 in anticipation of Stell’s performance alongside Velasquez.
“We share in your disappointment… and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” the statement said.
Fans React
While Stell has not yet commented on the matter, fans expressed mixed reactions online, with some lamenting the missed opportunity to see the collaboration and others appreciating iMEI’s transparency and apology.
Despite the setback, Velasquez reassured fans of her excitement for the concert, promising an unforgettable show.
