KC Concepcion embraced the spirit of family and reconciliation this holiday season by reconnecting with her mother, Sharon Cuneta, after a period of estrangement.
Concepcion shared her reflections on Instagram, wishing her followers a Merry Christmas and revealing a meaningful conversation she recently had with Cuneta. She acknowledged her mother’s unique ability to make the holidays special.
“Christmas will always be about love, laughter, and time with family for me… ending the year right with a conversation between Mama and I. She always makes the holidays extra magical and special,” Concepcion wrote.
She also expressed hope for strengthening their relationship, attributing the progress to divine guidance. “I know nanjan lang si God para samin and magiging ok ang lahat (God is always there for us, and everything will be okay). Especially between my mama and me,” she added.
A Strained Relationship
In May, Cuneta openly shared her feelings about being “very hurt” by her strained relationship with KC. At the time, the megastar told reporters that some matters were deeply personal and should remain private.
Despite their differences, Concepcion posted a heartfelt message on Mother’s Day, expressing love and gratitude to Cuneta while promising to make her proud.
“You’re the first person I ever met and ever loved; it’s because of you that I’m here today,” KC wrote. “Trust in the way you raised me—I will always strive to make you proud.”
