Ian Veneracion Defends Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings Amid Cheating Allegations

Veteran actor Ian Veneracion has voiced his support for his Incognito co-stars Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings, urging the public to respect their privacy amid a cheating controversy that has gone viral.

The controversy erupted after Jennings’ non-showbiz ex-girlfriend, Jamela Villanueva, leaked screenshots of intimate conversations between Jennings and Racal, leading to backlash on social media.

“Let Them Be,” Says Veneracion

In an interview with entertainment journalist MJ Marfori, Veneracion emphasized that the issue should remain a private matter:

“I don’t understand why everybody makes it their business. It’s a private thing between two people. Just let them be.”

He added that with fame comes scrutiny, but urged fans and critics alike to move on:

“Just chill. Do you even remember who went viral three weeks ago? It’s just part of it. We’re all human beings.”

Racal and Jennings Address Allegations

Both Racal and Jennings responded to the allegations in separate statements. Racal admitted she made a “mistake” in entertaining Jennings, explaining she believed he was already single at the time. She also acknowledged that Jennings played a role in her decision to end her relationship with singer-songwriter Rico Blanco.

Upcoming Project: Incognito

The controversy comes ahead of the release of Incognito, an action-drama series set to premiere in January 2025. Veneracion stars alongside Racal, Jennings, Daniel Padilla, Richard Gutierrez, Kaila Estrada, and Baron Geisler.

While the controversy has placed Racal and Jennings under intense scrutiny, Veneracion’s call for understanding highlights the importance of compassion in the face of public challenges.
