Blackpink’s Rosé to Release Another Prerelease Track from Solo Album

Rosé of Blackpink is set to release a new B-side track from her highly anticipated first solo studio album rosie, according to her agency, The Black Label. The track, titled number one girl, will drop this Friday as a prerelease ahead of the album’s official release on December 6.

Building Momentum After Success

The upcoming single follows the massive success of Rosé’s collaboration with Bruno Mars, APT., which topped iTunes charts in 40 regions and reached No. 8 on Billboard’s Hot 100. This achievement marked the highest position ever attained by a female K-pop artist, breaking the previous record of No. 13 set by Blackpink in 2020.

Inspired by a Korean drinking game, APT. captivated global audiences with its catchy rhythm and unique charm, solidifying Rosé’s status as a top solo performer.

A Solo Career on the Rise

Rosé first ventured into solo music in 2021 with her single album R, becoming the second Blackpink member to debut solo. The title track On The Ground reached No. 70 on Billboard’s Hot 100, a milestone for female K-pop solo acts at the time.

Earlier this year, Rosé signed a management deal with The Black Label, helmed by Blackpink’s main producer, Teddy, and Atlantic Records for her international activities.

Blackpink Members Shine as Solo Artists

Rosé isn’t the only Blackpink member making waves. Bandmate Jennie recently achieved her career-best performance on Billboard’s Hot 100 with her solo single Mantra. The track reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Global (excluding the US) and No. 3 on the Global 200 charts, further cementing Blackpink’s dominance in the global music scene.

With rosie set to include 12 tracks, including the buzzworthy number one girl, Rosé’s solo career is poised for even greater success. Fans eagerly await her return with what promises to be another hit release.
