Mark Anthony Fernandez Addresses Leaked Video, Says Phone Was Hacked

Actor Mark Anthony Fernandez broke his silence regarding an intimate video that circulated online last July, confirming its authenticity but explaining that it was leaked after his phone was accessed at a party.

Phone Hacked at Party

In an interview with broadcaster Julius Babao, Fernandez clarified the circumstances surrounding the leak.

“Hindi ko po kasalanan ‘yung nangyari talaga do’n,” Fernandez said. “It was not a circuit hack but a manual hack at a party with some friends. My phone was accessed, and the video was obtained.”

He revealed that the video was from a past relationship and was recorded as part of an “adventure” initiated by his ex-girlfriend.

Ethics and Reaction to the Leak

Fernandez emphasized that the video depicted consent, with his ex-girlfriend holding the camera.

“Hindi naman ako nagga-ganon talaga e. My ex-girlfriend liked to take videos, and we came up with the idea. I grew up in the film industry and understand the ethics,” he said.

Despite the initial shock, Fernandez admitted he felt relieved upon hearing what he described as “positive” reactions to the video. He also chose not to take legal action or remove the clip from online platforms.

“I would have been angry if it was edited to make me look bad, like I was spying on someone. But the video clearly shows consent,” he added.

Looking Ahead

While the incident caused temporary distress, Fernandez has moved forward, continuing his work in the entertainment industry.
