Actress and vlogger Ivana Alawi has opened up about her recent hospitalization due to complications from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), expressing gratitude for what she calls her “second life.” In her latest vlog, Alawi detailed the frightening experience, describing it as one of the toughest challenges she has faced.
Alawi explained that she initially experienced severe abdominal pain and swelling, which escalated into difficulty breathing. “I felt like I even said goodbye to my mom,” she shared, recounting how fluid buildup in her stomach caused her abdomen to swell and her lungs to struggle.
Alawi eventually required a tube to drain the accumulated fluid, which had reached a dangerous level. “They said there were two liters of fluid pressing on my lungs,” she recalled, adding that the complications also affected her bladder, heart rate, and digestive system. Although still in recovery, Alawi advised her followers to prioritize their health, saying, “When you feel something, get checked immediately—don’t wait for it to get worse.”
Alawi, who recently clarified that she has no plans to enter politics, continues to focus on her recovery.
