Camille Prats Clarifies Carlo Aquino Was Just “Puppy Love,” Not Her First Love

Actress Camille Prats has set the record straight regarding her past with former “G-mik” co-star Carlo Aquino, saying it was just “puppy love” and not what she would consider her first love.

In an appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Prats was asked about her teenage romance with Aquino. “First love ba yon? For me, I would count it as puppy love. It falls into that category,” she explained.

Prats and Aquino, who starred alongside Prats’ older brother John Prats on the ’90s youth show G-mik, shared a brief romance during their younger years. John recalled Aquino’s attempt to court Camille at the time, saying that he and his bandmates, including Stefano Mori, tried to discourage Aquino from pursuing her.

Camille added that John made his disapproval clear to Aquino back then. “He really made [Carlo] feel like, ‘I wasn’t happy with what you did,’” she shared.

Today, Camille is happily married to VJ Yambao, with whom she has two children, Nala and Nolan. She was previously married to Anthony Linsangan, who passed away in 2011; they share a son, Nathan.

Meanwhile, Carlo Aquino recently married actress Charlie Dizon. He also has a daughter, Mithi, with former partner Trina Candaza.
