Filipino gymnast Karl Eldrew Yulo has secured three additional gold medals at the 3rd JRC Artistic Gymnastics Stars Championships held in Bangkok, Thailand. Following his earlier victory in the individual all-around category, Yulo, the younger brother of Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, claimed top honors in the floor exercise, still rings, and vault events. He also earned a silver medal in the parallel bars competition.
The Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP) announced Yulo’s achievements on Sunday and highlighted the strong performance of the Philippine delegation in other events. Fellow gymnast King Cjay Pernia earned a bronze in the vault competition, while the Philippines garnered a total of 20 medals (12 gold, 5 silver, and 3 bronze) in the recent Australian Level Competitions.
In the men’s pre-junior category, Jacob Alvarez also made a strong showing with five gold medals and two silvers, while Yulo and the Junior Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Team took home a silver in the team category.
