Actor Xian Lim has reached a new milestone by taking his first solo flight as a pilot, just two months after starting his aviation training. Lim shared a video on Instagram, capturing the moment he took control in the cockpit, with the caption, “First time in the pilot’s seat! Nothing compares to the thrill of taking flight and seeing the world from above. Here’s to new heights and unforgettable views,” adding the hashtag #firstflight.
Lim, who previously revealed that learning to fly was a childhood dream, described the sense of respect he feels for pilots and his fascination with aviation. He began pursuing his dream in September, enrolling in an aviation school to embark on this new journey.
Apart from his aviation ambitions, the multi-talented 35-year-old has also ventured into filmmaking. Recently, he directed and co-wrote Kuman Thong, a 2024 horror film produced by his girlfriend, Iris Lee. As he celebrates his 15th year in the entertainment industry, Lim expressed his commitment to exploring more unconventional roles while continuing his rom-com roots. He also hinted at a desire to explore action roles, a genre he has yet to fully delve into.
Lim’s passion for both aviation and his craft in show business reflects his drive for growth and versatility, as he looks forward to achieving new heights in both arenas.
