Actor Dominic Roque is among those stranded in Sorsogon after Severe Tropical Storm Kristine, internationally named Trami, disrupted travel routes. Roque shared via Instagram that he and his companions have been stuck at a beach resort in Sta. Magdalena, Sorsogon for two days as the storm prevented them from returning to Manila.
Kristine made landfall in Isabela and brought powerful winds and heavy rains across Northern Luzon. The storm packed maximum sustained winds of 95 kph and gusts up to 160 kph, according to PAGASA.
Roque expressed his frustration, stating that he and fellow travelers were hoping to cross the sea to Allen, Samar, before heading to Tacloban to catch a flight back to Manila. Other companions planned to travel through Surigao to Davao.
The actor, along with fellow celebrities Jak Roberto and Jason Abalos, shared images of their stranded group at the resort. Roque also extended his prayers to those affected by the storm, hoping everyone remains safe.
Sorsogon had been under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 as of Wednesday night, which led to travel disruptions for many, including members of the OPM band Parokya ni Edgar, who also found themselves stranded in the area due to canceled flights.
