Kris Aquino recently shared a personal cancer scare with her followers, revealing that her colon lit up during a PET scan, which can indicate the presence of cancer. The news was particularly devastating for Kris, as both her mother, former President Cory Aquino, and her grandmother were diagnosed with colon cancer.
In an emotional Instagram post, Kris recounted her tears after learning the initial findings and the difficulty of explaining the situation to her 17-year-old son, Bimby. Bimby, staying strong for his mother, reassured her by saying they should trust in God and appreciate that any diagnosis would be early detection.
Fortunately, Kris later received good news from her doctors, who confirmed she is cancer-free, with no visible signs of cancer in her intestines. Grateful for the prayers from her supporters, Kris expressed her relief and thanked everyone for their support.
However, she also shared that three of her autoimmune conditions remain life-threatening, with potential risks to her vital organs and blood vessels. Despite this, Kris remains determined to fight and continues to stay optimistic. She revealed that she’s working on a new show with Darla Sauler, set to launch by the end of 2024, giving her a new goal to focus on.
Kris recently returned to the Philippines after two years in the U.S., where she sought treatment for her autoimmune conditions.
