Fnatic ONIC Philippines completed their dream run by clinching the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 14 championship in a thrilling 4-3 victory over Aurora on Sunday. Despite facing a reverse sweep threat from Aurora, Fnatic ONIC emerged victorious after a hard-fought seven-game series.
Fnatic ONIC was on the verge of sealing the championship with a commanding 3-1 lead and had nearly destroyed all of Aurora’s turrets in Game 5. However, Aurora, led by gold laner Jan “Domeng” Delmundo’s double kill, managed to turn the game around and push the series to a deciding Game 7.
In the final match, seasoned gold laner Duane “Kelra” Pillas took charge, using Beatrix to lead Fnatic ONIC to victory and secure his first MPL title. Kelra’s standout performance earned him Finals MVP honors.
Fnatic ONIC’s victory crowns an almost flawless season, having only lost one game during the regular season. Both Fnatic ONIC and Aurora will represent the Philippines at the M6 World Championship in December, heading to the global stage with high momentum.
