Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards have grown even closer while filming Hello, Love, Again, the sequel to their 2019 hit movie Hello, Love, Goodbye. The two actors, who have always maintained a friendship, revealed that working together on the new project allowed them to strengthen their bond.
In an interview with ABS-CBN’s On Cue, Richards explained that spending more time together has enhanced their on-screen chemistry. “We became more comfortable and familiar with each other, which has made our performances more effective,” he shared.
Bernardo echoed these sentiments, adding that their friendship has only deepened since they first collaborated. She noted that the more relaxed work environment this time around enabled them to connect on a deeper level. “We’re now at a stage where we’re very comfortable with one another, and we can talk like true friends,” she said.
Despite the long break between projects, Bernardo and Richards maintained their connection. The actress pointed out that her castmates from the original film have remained close, even celebrating her birthday together earlier this year.
Hello, Love, Again follows the story of Joy (Bernardo) and Ethan (Richards) as they reunite in Canada, with Joy introducing herself under a new name, Marie, hinting at lingering tensions between the characters.
