
LAOAG CITY — Presidential son and Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” Marcos officially filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for reelection on Monday afternoon. He was accompanied by his parents, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and First Lady Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos, who showed their support at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) office in Laoag City.
Sandro Marcos, 30, is seeking a second term after serving as Senior Deputy Majority Leader in the House of Representatives during his first term. In this role, he was involved with the House Committee on Rules, which oversees key legislative procedures, including impeachment and the establishment of committee jurisdictions.
The filing comes as preparations ramp up for the 2025 Midterm Elections, with candidates from various districts declaring their intentions to run.
