Agri party-list Representative Wilbert Lee has officially become the first senatorial aspirant to file his certificate of candidacy (COC) for the 2025 national and local elections. Lee filed his COC at the Manila Hotel Tent City on Tuesday morning, marking the start of his Senate bid under the Aksyon Demokratiko party.
“We want to show the public that we’re serious in what we’re doing, and we will continue our advocacy from Congress to the Senate,” Lee said in a statement to reporters. One of the key focuses of his campaign will be advocating for more accessible healthcare.
Supporters of Lee, carrying banners, gathered outside the venue to show their backing for his candidacy.
Joining him as early COC filers were sustainability advocate David Chan and electrician-carpenter Alexander Encarnacion, who is making his third run for the Senate.
