
Two-time Olympic gold medalist and gymnast Carlos Yulo received a condominium unit valued at P32 million from Megaworld Corp., a prominent property developer.
Reward for Outstanding Achievement
Initially, Yulo was awarded a two-bedroom condo unit following his gold medal victory in the floor exercise at the Paris Olympics. After securing his second gold in the vault finals, Megaworld upgraded the gift to a three-bedroom unit worth P32 million.
Condo Unit Details
The 100-square meter condominium unit comes fully furnished and interior-designed, complete with home appliances. The unit features:
- Two balconies
- A parking slot
- A maid’s room with toilet and bath
Additionally, the condo is decorated with framed newspaper front pages commemorating Yulo’s remarkable Olympic achievements.
Recognition and Monetary Reward
In addition to the condominium, Yulo will receive P3 million from Megaworld for becoming the first Filipino athlete to win two Olympic gold medals.
Homecoming
Carlos Yulo and the rest of the Philippine Olympic Team returned home on Wednesday, arriving on a chartered Philippine Airlines flight that landed at Villamor Air Base in Pasay City. The team included bronze medalists Aira Villegas and Nesthy Petecio, fellow boxers Carlo Paalam, Hergie Bacyadan, and Eumir Marcial, tracksters John Cabang Tolentino and Lauren Hoffman, weightlifters John Ceniza, Elreen Ando, and Vanessa Sarno, and pole vault star EJ Obiena.
