Carla Abellana is in a good place emotionally after her failed marriage, sharing that her heart is happy and well-cared for.
Moving Forward
In an interview with GMA News Online at the GMA Gala 2024 held at the Marriott Manila Hotel in Pasay City on Saturday night, the “Widows’ War” star reflected on her emotional state.
“Thankfully, it’s still alive and beating. But yes, masaya siya,” Carla said. “Naalagaan na nang mabuti and napaka-valuable and precious.”
Legal Resolution
Earlier this month, Carla confirmed that her divorce from ex-husband Tom Rodriguez has been recognized by the Philippine court. “We are divorced, recognized na po ‘yan ng korte, local court po natin dito,” she shared in an episode of “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda.”
Carla mentioned that she no longer communicates with Tom and has no updates about him. Despite the separation, she holds no animosity towards him, stating that life is too short to harbor anger.
A New Chapter
Carla and Tom were married in October 2021 after a seven-year relationship but divorced in 2022. By September 2023, Carla shared that she had moved on from Tom.
At the GMA Gala, Carla dazzled in a sparkling gold sequined dress paired with stunning jewelry. She currently stars in “Widows’ War” alongside Bea Alonzo.
