Alongside James, the team features a stellar cast including Joel Embiid, the current NBA MVP, and James’s Los Angeles Lakers teammate Anthony Davis. Notable additions also include Kevin Durant from the Phoenix Suns, a three-time Olympic champion, and Stephen Curry from the Golden State Warriors.

The roster, as announced by USA Basketball, is a formidable assembly of talent, each member boasting a record of NBA All-Star appearances. The team also includes stars such as Bam Adebayo, Devin Booker, Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Haliburton, Jrue Holiday, Kawhi Leonard, and Jayson Tatum. This blend of four NBA MVPs and six NBA champions underscores the team’s deep reservoir of talent and championship experience.

Grant Hill, the managing director of the USA Basketball men’s national team, expressed his gratitude towards the players for their commitment and highlighted the intense competition the team anticipates facing in Paris. According to Hill, the Olympic platform is the pinnacle of global sports competition and he expects the world to watch keenly as the USA contends in what is touted as one of the toughest basketball tournaments in history.
