Don’t be fooled by this restaurant’s fun and colorful vintage aesthetic. If you’re looking forward to having a sweet, mellow, and wholesome dining experience, this place is definitely NOT for you.

Karen’s Diner is not for the faint-hearted as it promises its customers great food and terrible service.
The restaurant, which is inspired by the “Karen” meme, reverses who gets to play “Karen” in this setting. With its crew spewing ego-shattering insults at diners, giving glares and eye rolls upon receiving customers’ requests, and throwing receipts on the floor when asked for the bill, customers must prepare to have a high tolerance for rudeness when dining at Karen’s Diner.
“Our staff are rude and our manners are non-existent. Come on, ask for the manager… WE DARE YOU,” the diner states.

Some of the menu items include: The “I Want to See the Manager” Karen Burger (two Wagyu patties, two slices of Swiss cheese, bacon, lettuce, pickles, and manager BBQ-mustard sauce), Karen’s Chicken Bingo Wings, sides like mozzarella sticks , desserts like a seasonal waffle bowl, and thickshakes.

The food served at this restaurant look really appetizing, though it might be challenging downing that burger when you’re sweating profusely, wishing you’re not the servers’ next roasting target.
However, if you’re up for matching their insults with some bars of your own and bringing out the sassy sarcastic self you’ve been hiding all along for some hilarious banter, then Karen’s Diner might be an absurdly fun and liberating experience for you.
While all the bad manners and language are just for show and for laughter, the diner still cautions their customers to not go below the belt. House Rules (yes, they still have those) include:
- No racist, sexist, homophobic or ableist comments or slurs will be tolerated.
- No body shaming.
- No sexual harrassment.
- Any damage or vandalism of the venue will lead to instant removal from the venue. (Charges may also apply)
- Keep your food and drink on your tables, don’t throw them, its not fun.
Karen’s Diner currently has 28 locations across Australia, the UK, New Zealand, USA, Canada, and Singapore.
