LIGAO CITY — Former Vice President Atty. Leni Robredo inaugurated the community learning hub on Tuesday at the ‘Angat Buhay’ Village Housing Project in Guinobatan, Albay.

The residents of Barangay Mauraro worked together for two weeks to construct the new building comprised of lightweight materials named the “learning hub-library-livelihood training center.”

“Seeing you all working for the good of everyone inspires me to work harder. Thank you for the support and making this possible,” Robredo said during the event.

She expressed her gratitude to the individuals who have offered their skills as potential volunteer instructors to teach children.

The former VP also posted on her official social media page thanking Local Government officials and sponsors.

“Many thanks to Vice Mayor Ann Gemma Ongjoco and LGU-Guinobatan, to Solid Leni Bicol Albay, and to all the generous donors and sponsors for supporting these families as they start better lives in our village. Indeed, many good things are possible with collaboration,” she said.

A report from Inquirer stated that Feed Hungry Minds Library Inc. has partnered with Angat Pinas Inc. (Angat Buhay) to provide special tutorials and a feeding program for over 100 children in the community.
