MANILA, Philippines — Outgoing Vice President Leni Robredo announced that she will be officially launching the Angat Buhay non-government organization this July 1-2.
The event will be at the volunteer center for Robredo’s campaign in Katipunan, Quezon City. The launch will be marked by a two-day street and art festival showcasing mementos gifted by Robredo’s supporters during the 2022 campaign.
In a statement, Robredo said, “We are officially launching the Angat Buhay program at our Volunteer Center on July 1, 2022. To celebrate, there will also be a two-day street and art festival, where some of the pink memorabilia and artworks we received during the campaign will be featured.”
She also said that she will ask the artists’ permission regarding selling their work to raise funds for the NGO. Profit will be used to aid communities in need.
The Angat Buhay organization also said that those who cannot physically attend can stay updated through their social media channels. They will also be live streaming the launch event to cater to the online audience.
