MANILA, Philippines — Former President Fidel V. Ramos passed away on Sunday, July 31, according to the state-run Philippine Television Network (PTV).
Based on the initial Reports, the former President succumbed to COVID-19 complications. He was 94.
FVR was the 12th President of the Philippines from June 20, 1992, to June 30, 1998.
Despite a power crisis, Ramos’ government was able to steer the Philippines toward economic growth and stability.
