MANILA, Philippines – Another crown for the Philippines in just a month, as the country’s pride, Fuschia Anne Ravena, was crowned Miss International Queen 2022 in Thailand on Saturday, the most prestigious beauty pageant for transwomen in the world.
Ravena won the same day the LGBTQIA+ community in Manila celebrated ‘Pride Month’ at the Cultural Center of the Philippines open grounds.
The Cebuana beauty queen snatched the crown from 22 other candidates; meanwhile, Miss Colombia ended first runner-up, and Miss France placed second runner-up.
Ravena captured the judge’s heart with her answer to the competition’s final Question: If you are the winner of Miss International Queen of 2022, how would you start our advocacy, and how would you teach them the importance of equality?
“I will start it by influencing other people to spread love, peace, and unity to have world equality because, after all, we live under one sky. And we breathe the same air. And we all live from differences where love is universal.”Fuschia Anne Ravena, Miss International Queen 2022
Ravena joined the list of former Miss International Queen’s title holders from the Philippines, Kevin Balot, who won in 2012, and Trixie Maristela in 2015.
Last June 11, Sherry Ann Quintana Tormes from the Philippines was also crowned Miss Global 2022 in Bali, Indonesia.
