MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) under sectary Francisco Duque III has approved the Health Assessment Technology Council’s recommendation to distribute Pfizer booster shots for minors ages 12-17.

On Saturday, DOH spokesperson Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire also announced that all those aged 12-17 will soon receive vaccine booster shots.

“Nagbigay na din po ng ‘oo’ na pwede na ipatupad din ang the rest of the population ng 12-17. Hopefully in the coming weeks makikita natin ang slow na pagtaas nito pong ating 12-17 booster doses dahil kailangan po ng ating mga kabataan ang booster doses na ito.”
