Zac Efron rose to stardom by starring as lead-male Troy Bolton in the Disney movie series “High School Musical”
E! News caught up with Efron during his promotions for his upcoming film “Firestarter” to ask if he was interested in a “High School Musical” reboot.
“Of course. To have an opportunity in any form to go back and work with that team would be so amazing,” Efron expressed. “My heart is still there. That would be incredible. I hope it happens.”
During the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, several cast members of the original “High School Musical” film and the spin-off series gathered in Zoom to sing “We’re All In This Together.” Efron did not participate in the performance but sent an introductory video.
