MANILA, Philippines — On February 8, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso’s blockbuster music video entitled ‘Nais Ko’ surpassed 20 million views, and this was the most viewed video on YouTube compared to other presidential hopefuls.
In collaboration with popular rappers, Smugglaz and Bassilyo, the 4:26-minute music video highlights Isko Moreno’s humble roots in Tondo before becoming one of the country’s most influential local leaders. The video reached 26,000 views on YouTube within an hour of being released at noon on December 28.
24 hours after the music video was posted on Youtube, it was played nearly 900,000 times, proving the scenes depict the daily lives of the poor or the reality of people in the real world.
“Yun yung tunay na buhay ng tao. Yun yung tunay na sitwasyon,” Moreno said.
Moreno’s music video has also surpassed the Abs-Cbn Christmas Jingle “Sama Sama Ngayong Pasko”, even though the SSNP video was posted two days before the “Nais Ko” music video.

Meanwhile, Vice President Leni Robredo’s Jingle called “Kay Leni Tayo”, which premiered on August 19, 2021, has only gained 203,000 views on youtube. This was written by the “Tala” composer Nica Del Rosario, who agreed to write VP Leni’s jingle for free. The campaign video of former senator Bongbong Marcos called “Bangon Bayan Muli”, which premiered on December 20, has acquired 440,000 views on youtube.
The Comelec has announced that the candidates for national positions and party-list groups can begin campaigning from February 8 until May 7, 2022.
