MANILA, Philippines — On Tuesday, the Philippine Basketball Association released the official roster for its season-ending Governors Cup. Two players have been identified as unvaccinated.
In compliance with guidelines given by the Inter-Agency Task Force and local government units, the league enforced a vaccine mandate. As seen on PBA’s released roster, TerraFirma guard Justin Melton and Magnolia center Rafi Reavis are still unvaccinated.

PBA commissioner Willie Marcial stated that these players are not allowed to play, nor are they allowed in the venue to practice. He also said that players were often reminded to get vaccinated so that they will be permitted to play. He said, “Hindi tayo nagkulang sa paalala. Pati mga teams, lagi silang kinakausap na magpa-vaccine.”
The Metro Manila Council recommended that everyone attending sports events from athletes to spectators should be fully vaccinated. In full support of this mandate, PBA has enforced this as well.
