Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced that community restrictions will be eased this coming weekend. This is as per the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases’ (IATF) approval and recommendation.

This is also following several business owners’ prodding that regulations be eased as cases continue to dwindle and vaccination rates rise.

According to IATF guidelines, clubs, karaoke bars, and theme parks are still prohibited during this alert level. Gatherings in residential places with individuals not belonging in the same household are also not allowed.

Unless authorized by IATF and the Office of the President, gaming establishments such as casinos, horse racing, and betting shops remain prohibited.

On the other hand, most businesses and establishments are allowed to resume operations albeit with various directives. Multiple establishments are allowed to operate up to 30% of indoor venue capacity and 50% outdoor capacity as long as everyone in attendance is fully vaccinated.

These functions include venues for meetings and conferences, permitted social events, restaurants, gyms, and personal care establishments. The awaited resumption of in-person classes and cinemas are granted at limited capacity.
