As of 5:00 AM, PAGASA is tracking Severe Tropical Storm “Sinlaku”, located approximately 2,715 kilometers east of Northeastern Mindanao.
- Strength: Packing maximum sustained winds of 110 kph and gustiness of up to 135 kph.
- Movement: Currently described as “almost stationary.”
- PAR Entry: While it could enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) late next week, weather specialists noted it might recurve northward toward the Pacific and bypass PAR entirely.
- Northern Luzon: Under the influence of a High-Pressure Area (HPA) ridge, resulting in generally fair weather with minimal chances of rain.
- Metro Manila & Rest of the Country: Hot and humid throughout the day, with a high likelihood of localized thunderstorms bringing isolated rainshowers during the late afternoon or evening.
Major cities are expected to hit high marks today, with Tuguegarao reaching a peak of 37°C.
