PAGASA: Partly Cloudy Skies, Afternoon Rain Showers Expected Across PH This Tuesday

MANILA, Philippines — The state weather bureau PAGASA is forecasting a mix of sun and clouds for the entire country this Tuesday, March 31, as the warm and dry season continues to settle in.

In a morning forecast, weather specialist Veronica Torres reported that Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies. While the morning may remain generally fair, residents should keep their umbrellas handy for potential localized thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

However, a ridge of a high-pressure area is currently extending over Northern Luzon. According to Torres, this atmospheric condition actually lowers the chances of significant thunderstorm development in that specific region compared to the rest of the island.

Meanwhile, the Visayas and Mindanao regions will continue to experience prevailing fair weather, though the typical summer pattern of late-day rain showers remains likely.

As of Tuesday morning, PAGASA confirmed there are no active low-pressure areas (LPA) currently monitored within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). Sea conditions are also expected to be manageable for small seacraft, as all gale warnings across the country’s seaboards have been lifted.

Travelers and outdoor enthusiasts are advised to stay hydrated as temperatures remain high, with the bureau previously declaring the official start of the “warm and dry” season earlier this month.
