The Manila Journal Issues Correction and Apology on Infant Formula Report
MANILA, Philippines — January 17, 2026 —
The Manila Journal issues this statement to correct an error in its article concerning infant formula safety entitled: “FDA Confirms 25 Reports Tied to Recalled Infant Formula,” published on 17 January 2026.
Due to editorial oversight, the article erroneously identified Enfamil ProSobee Simply Plant-Based Infant Formula (900g), a product of Reckitt/Mead Johnson Nutrition, instead of Nan Optipro and Nankid Optipro infant formula products.
Upon verification, the article was promptly removed to prevent further dissemination.
The Manila Journal recognizes the importance of accuracy, particularly in matters involving infant health and public safety. Thus, it has taken immediate steps to strengthen its editorial review processes.
We apologize to Reckitt/Mead Johnson Nutrition, the companies associated with Nan Optipro and Nankid Optipro, and our readers for any confusion caused.
The Manila Journal remains committed to responsible and accurate reporting and to maintaining the trust of the public.
