ILOILO CITY, Philippines — A total of 269 personnel from the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) have been officially cleared of illegal drug use following a surprise random drug test conducted earlier this month.
The unannounced screening took place on March 3, 2026, at the ICPO headquarters in Camp Achilles D. Plagata. The samples, processed by the Iloilo City Forensic Unit (ICFU), all returned negative results for illegal substances, according to reports released on Thursday.
The testing was ordered by Police Colonel Wilbert B. Parilla, the ICPO officer-in-charge, as part of a “strengthened internal cleansing program.” The initiative aims to ensure that all officers maintain strict discipline, professionalism, and integrity while upholding the public’s trust and confidence in the police force.
“This result reflects the commitment of the Iloilo City Police Office to maintain a disciplined, professional, and drug-free police force,” Parilla stated. He emphasized that the police force must lead by example in the broader national campaign against narcotics.
Following the confirmation of the results, the ICPO reiterated its dedication to transparency and its mandate to serve and protect the community with clean and reliable personnel.
