NAVOTAS CITY, Philippines — Kababaihan Partylist, in collaboration with 1Life Philippines, successfully conducted a community medical mission in Navotas City on January 24, 2026, providing essential healthcare services to 208 residents from various barangays.

The mission, held at the Phase 1-B Multi-Purpose Building in Barangay NBBS Kaunlaran, specifically targeted vulnerable sectors including solo parents, persons with disabilities (PWDs), senior citizens, and pedicab drivers.
Comprehensive Health Services The partnership between the party-list group and 1Life Philippines allowed for a wide array of medical interventions to be delivered directly to the community:
- Diagnostics: Residents received blood sugar and cholesterol testing, ECGs, urinalysis, and X-rays.
- Consultations: Licensed doctors were on-site for personal consultations and vitals monitoring.
- Support: The mission also included patient profiling in the 1Life system and immediate medicine dispensing for those in need.
- Reach: Beneficiaries came from several neighboring areas, including NBBS Proper, NBBS Dagat-Dagatan, Market 3 NBBN, and Bagumbayan North.

Empowering Vulnerable Groups Department of Justice (DOJ) Undersecretary Margarita Gutierrez, a supporter of the initiative, emphasized that access to healthcare should not be determined by income. “Through initiatives like this, Kababaihan and its partners are making sure that families, workers, and vulnerable sectors receive the care they deserve—right where they live,” she stated.
Apple dela Cruz, president of the Solo Parent Association, highlighted the mission’s importance for single parents who often neglect their own health due to financial and work-related pressures. The activity was also supported by the Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina (KALIPI) and the local government led by Mayor John Rey Tiangco.
Ongoing Commitment Kababaihan Partylist has pledged to continue these grassroots medical missions as part of its commitment to inclusive, community-based public service. The group aims to strengthen partnerships with local government units and healthcare providers to bridge the gap in healthcare access for underserved communities across the country.
