ABS-CBN Returns to Historic Channel 2 via Manny Villar’s ALLTV: “Rescan Your TVs!”

MANILA – Kapamilya fans have reason to celebrate in 2026: ABS-CBN programming is back on free-to-air Channel 2 starting January 2, through a licensing deal with Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS)—owned by billionaire Manny Villar. The Kapamilya Channel feed now airs on ALLTV2, marking a symbolic “homecoming” to the frequency ABS-CBN occupied for decades before its 2020 franchise denial.

Villar himself shared the excitement on Instagram: “Nasa ALLTV2 na ang Kapamilya Channel! Enjoy your favorite Kapamilya shows all day, mula umaga hanggang gabi. Re-scan your TVs and tune in now!” The move follows ABS-CBN’s content agreement termination with TV5 (effective Jan 2, 2026), shifting prime shows like FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, TV Patrol, ASAP, and more to ALLTV.

This partnership—building on prior Jeepney TV collaborations—restores broader free access for Kapamilya content on the iconic Channel 2 (analog frequency Villar acquired in 2022). Some programs remain on A2Z and GMA affiliates.

Quick Tips for Viewers:

  • Rescan your digital TV to catch the new signal.
  • Classic logos and vibes return—nostalgia overload!

Welcome back to Channel 2, Kapamilya! 📺❤️
