Fair Weather with Isolated Rains Forecast Across PH on Christmas Eve

MANILA – Filipinos can look forward to generally fair weather on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2025, with mostly partly cloudy to cloudy skies and only isolated rain showers or thunderstorms possible, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA). No tropical cyclones or severe systems are monitored, making it ideal for Noche Buena preparations, travel, and outdoor gatherings—though brief afternoon or evening downpours remain a chance in some areas.

PAGASA’s latest advisory highlights:

  • Luzon (including Metro Manila): Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, mainly due to localized thunderstorms.
  • Visayas and Mindanao: Similar conditions—partly cloudy to cloudy with chances of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon or evening.
  • No Gale Warnings: Moderate to rough seas possible along northern and eastern coasts, but small vessels can operate with caution.

The absence of the northeast monsoon (amihan) influence allows warmer, more stable conditions nationwide, perfect for Simbang Gabi completions and family reunions. Temperatures: Metro Manila 23-31°C; Baguio 14-23°C; Tagaytay 19-28°C.

PAGASA advises staying hydrated and prepared for sudden showers, but overall, the forecast promises a calm, joyful Christmas Eve—clear skies for parol viewing and midnight mass.
