Yulo Parents Beam with Pride After Eldrew’s Junior Worlds Triumph

Karl Jahrel Eldrew Yulo wrapped up his run at the 3rd FIG Junior World Championships with flying colors, earning two bronze medals — and his parents couldn’t hide their joy and gratitude.

Watching from the stands, Mark and Angelica Yulo cheered loudest when Eldrew landed on the podium in the horizontal bar and floor exercise. Angelica thanked their Japanese coach, Munehiro Kugimiya, for taking Eldrew under his wing and helping mold his talent. Mark looked ahead, saying he hopes the whole family can one day gather again at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Their pride runs deep — Eldrew’s efforts paid off not just in medals, but in showing his dedication, perseverance, and readiness to keep pushing as he transitions to the senior level.
