Chocolate Lover Inc., the iconic baking supplies store in Cubao known for its castle-like design, is set to close permanently on December 27, 2025, ending 36 years of business.
Owner Annie Carmona‑Lim shared an emotional farewell, explaining that her children, who live abroad, are not taking over the store. She expressed her desire to slow down and spend more time with her grandchildren.
The store will continue to serve customers through the holiday season, offering popular items such as chocolate, buttercream, and cake decorating tools until it closes. The building itself is now up for sale, although Annie is open to renting it out if the right buyer doesn’t come along.
Long-time bakers and loyal customers have shared heartfelt tributes, remembering Chocolate Lover as a key stop in their baking journeys and a place filled with fond family memories.
