Palace Dismisses Imee Marcos’ Drug‑Use Allegations Against Her Brother as “Noise”

Malacañang strongly denied Senator Imee Marcos’s claims that her brother, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., uses illegal drugs — calling them a baseless, politically motivated “noise.”

Palace Press Secretary Claire Castro defended the President, reiterating that he tested negative in a drug screening before his 2022 presidential campaign.
She suggested that Imee’s accusations are an attempt to undermine her brother’s reputation while distracting from ongoing corruption investigations.

Castro also said the Palace has no plans, for now, to press charges against Imee, despite calling her allegations “desperate.”

Meanwhile, House Majority Leader Sandro Marcos — the President’s son — slammed his aunt’s remarks as irresponsible and dishonest, insisting there’s no evidence to support her claims.
