Typhoon Typhoon Uwan Death Toll Hits 27: National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council


The death toll from Typhoon Uwan has reached 27, according to the latest update from the NDRRMC. Most of the fatalities have been attributed to landslides triggered by the storm’s heavy rains.

Officials say rescue teams continue to comb affected regions for missing persons and to carry out relief operations in communities hit hardest by floods and debris flows.
