Typhoon Tino Makes 7th Landfall at Batas Island, Palawan — PAGASA


Storm-trotting storm Typhoon Tino made its seventh landfall in the town of Bataraza on Batas Island, Palawan, according to the national meteorological agency PAGASA.
The weather bureau reported that Tino landed as a tropical storm (or equivalent) and is expected to continue affecting nearby provinces with strong winds, heavy rainfall and possible coastal flooding.
Local officials have urged residents in high-risk areas to stay indoors, avoid going near beaches or riverbanks, and make use of designated evacuation centres if needed. Evacuation orders and transport suspensions are already in place around Palawan to pre-empt further damage.
