As the observance of Undas approaches, thousands of travellers gathered at the bus terminals in Cubao, Quezon City, seeking seats toward their hometowns and provinces.
The surge began in earnest on Friday: passengers filled up lanes, queued early, and prepared for long trips ahead to join their families in commemorating All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.
Traffic and terminal congestion were noticeable. Many queued outside the terminals or waited in their vehicles, while families with children and elderly were seen gearing up for the journey home.
Travel-operators and terminal staff advised passengers to secure tickets soon, arrive early, and be prepared for delays. With so many people moving at once, seating and passageways were still being managed to help keep the flow orderly.
