Free E-Trike Rides Help Visitors Navigate Manila North Cemetery Ahead of Undas 2025

As the Undas (All Saints’ Day) holiday approaches, many visitors to Manila North Cemetery are taking advantage of free electric tricycle (e-trike) services to ease their movement around the large grounds. According to the latest reports, 35 e-trike units are operating with 35 drivers and three marshals across four-hour shifts to assist visitors.

The e-trike initiative comes at a time when thousands of people flock to the cemetery to clean tombs, light candles, and pay respects to deceased loved ones. With large crowds and wide grounds, the free rides offer a more comfortable option for those who may find walking long distances challenging—particularly seniors and those carrying candles and flowers.

Aside from transport convenience, the cemetery management has also put other services in place: visitor registration, crowd management, and guidelines to ensure respectful and orderly observance during the holiday period.

Why This Matters

  • The free e-trike service demonstrates efforts to improve visitor experience during one of the busiest times for the cemetery.
  • It acknowledges practical needs: during high-traffic periods, mobility and accessibility become important for hundreds of thousands of visitors.
  • It signals responsive local governance and community support, making ceremonial traditions like Undas safer and more comfortable for all.
