Palace Says Marcos, Cabinet Will Provide SALNs to ‘Proper Authorities’

The office of Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has confirmed that the President and his Cabinet members are ready to turn over their Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALNs) — but only to “the proper authorities” and following the rules set out by the Office of the Ombudsman.

Malacañang spokespersones clarified that the administration acknowledges the requirement: any request for a SALN must go through the official procedures, and compliance will occur once those steps are followed.

At the same time, the palace emphasised that SALN disclosures should not become tools for political games or indiscriminate attacks against public officials. They noted that the guidelines allow access for legitimate purposes, but stress that misuse could undermine trust in the system.
